How does it all work?
Purchasing a puppy can be a big decision and should not be done on impulse! However, it is also a huge enrichment of your life. The little puppy will bring so much love, fun and unconditional friendship. But also structure, planning your day and responsibility, which with assistance dogs for people with autism or a psychiatric disorder can be a great help.
If you’re interested in one of our puppies, feel free to contact us.
We would love to schedule a date to meet you, provided that this is possible for you. You can then ask any questions you want about our dogs, you can get know us and see whether a Labradoodle is the dog for you. This can also be done by phone or email.
We can then take your reservation down. After confirmation of pregnancy, we will exchange puppy contracts with our health guarantees. We will than ask you to put down a deposit of €350. Feel free to contact us for further information. Only in the event that we are unable to provide you with a puppy due to a lower amount of puppies than reservations, will we refund the deposit.
During their time in the litter, we will take very good care of your puppies and keep you up to date via our site and through personal emails. You are more than welcome to visit your puppies, two weeks after their birth. As of three weeks you can come over for a cuddle with your new friend. Feel free to drop in throughout the entire 8 weeks that the puppies are here.
When the puppies are around six weeks old, the litter will be tested by a trainer from the Bulters en Mekke training school. We will then be looking for different traits in the puppies, such as openness, shyness, curiosity, etc. to establish which puppies are the most suitable candidates to be trained as an assistance dog. If we have any requests for an assistance dog, then Bulters en Mekke and any other certified training schools involved, will also be involved in the placement of the puppies. For this, we would like to contact the involved training schools in advance. Requests for an assistance will only be considered, if supported by a certified training school!
Other placements will be done by us. You can tell us about any preferences you might have and we will do our best to take these into account. We ask you to give multiple preferences because it isn’t always possible for us to give everyone their first choice. We also ask of you to think about which traits you think are important. These are infinitely more important than the colour of their fur. And quite a few dogs tend to get a lighter colour fur when they grow up. For the reasons stated above, any preferences based solely on colour will NOT be given priority, unless medical reasons can be provided. Based on the results of the behaviour test, we will then contact you about choosing your dog. If more people choose the same dog we will allocate the puppies based on which traits match which family best. The final decision is ours!
Before the puppies reach the age of 6 weeks, we will ask you to pay the rest of the puppy price. The remaining amount is €1950, adding up to a total price of €2300. The transaction will only be considered complete after we have recieved the amount in full and only after the transcaction has been completed, will we start matching puppies with their future families.
The puppies will arrive fully vaccinated, dewormed and neutered or spayed. This is according to the guidelines of worldwide Australian labradoodle associations and the Raad van Beheer (the Dutch equivalent of the Kennel Club in the UK). This is to keep this breed clean and healthy.
The inoculation at nine weeks is your own responsibility!
We are very proud to be able to present the ALAA Member Breeder and Silver paw breeder logos on our website, with which we can prove that we comply with the highest standards of health testing, as set out by the Australian Labradoodle Association of America.
